My First Digital Scrapbook Page!!

Today Cassie and I went to a digital scrapbooking workshop. We learned all kinds of cool tips and tricks, so I had to come straight home and try some of them out. This is my first page. It's not the best page ever, but mostly I was just messing around trying to learn Adobe Photoshop and see what cool things I could do. I had a lot of fun, and it's amazing all the neat scrapbooking things I'll be able to do with this new medium. I still have to get my membership to Costco so I can print these out at the 12x12 size for really cheap, but I'll be doing that soon. Thanks Cassie for going with me and getting as excited as I am to get started on this fantastic new way to scrapbook.

Happy Birthday Kristi!

It's Kristi's birthday today and I wanted to take a minute to tell her how happy I am that she was born! She is one of my best friends in the whole world, and I couldn't be luckier than to have her for a sister. She is funny, outgoing, and a little crazy sometimes (in a good way). She keeps us all on our toes and always has us laughing and smiling whenever she's around. She is also kind and thoughtful. Last time I went home she had a suprise for me. She remembered that last year I went to Pennsylvania and fell in love with these wonderful chocolate covered pretzels. She made a whole batch of them just because she knew I loved them. I ate way too many, and they were every bit as good as the ones in PA, if not better! That's the kind of person Kristi is. She's attentive, thoughtful, full of energy, beautiful, courageous, loving, and one of the best sisters ever!! She lights up any room when she walks in. I love you Kristi and I am grateful to have you for a sister.

Blessings

Well, I'm a little down in the dumps right now, so I thought I would try listing my blessings to help cheer me up.

1. My wonderful family
2. Great friends
3. A nice apartment
4. The gospel
5. The chance to go to school
6. My memory (as in the ability to remember things well)
7. Good memories (as in good things that have happened in my life; maybe this should be a subcategory...refer to end of list for more on this blessing)
8. Technology, and all the cool gadgets I own in order to use that technology (this could practically be it's own category as well...we'll see)
9. Finding a major that I really enjoy
10. On Demand TV so I can watch some of my shows whenever I want. Maybe I shouldn't be thankful for that because it kind of impedes my homework at times.
11. Heat...it's getting pretty cold these days and I'm glad I can stay inside where it isn't cold.
12. Pictures
13. Family traditions
14. Books...intersting, fun, educational, all the different kinds of books, and the authors who write them
15. Blogs that help me keep in touch and get to know my family and friends more intimately.

Well, I feel much better, so I guess it worked. I've decided to save the list of good memories and cool gadgets for another post. That way you'll get more new posts from me in the next few days. Plus, I have a funny story about my microwave that I'll probably blog about in the near future. That's at least three new posts coming soon; don't let me forget.

I really need to mention one other thing. I am NOT thankful for pre-calculus homework!!
